Replace scrolling on your cell phone if you can’ Replace scrolling on your cell phone if you can’t fall asleep with focusing on your breath. 

Next time you have trouble falling asleep or falling back to sleep, try the 4-7-8 breathing method. 

Breath in for 4 seconds, hold your breath for 7 seconds, and exhale for 8 seconds. Do this for a couple of minutes to help relax the body. 

It will likely take some practice but it’s much more effective than the alternative of looking at a screen!

I think we miss the mark greatly when we celebrate I think we miss the mark greatly when we celebrate with food and drinks that make us sick, especially at kid and teen parties. 

Yes we want to have fun and enjoy tasty food, but we can still do that with real foods.

For your next celebration, try putting out fruit, skip out on sugary drinks, and limit the ultra processed foods. We should feel good after celebrating our loved ones, not lethargic, grumpy, and have stomach aches.

Take 3 breaths, using the 4 seconds in and 6 seconds out and reap the benefits. Doing so will help regulate your heart rate, improve digestion, and induce calmness.
